It is soft and smooth, with notes of dark plum, mulberries, and subtle spice. Ripe and appealing with red berry and cherry fruit flavors along with a hint of mint. It picks up a touch of vanilla on the soft, velvety finish. This Merlot is made with grapes sourced from the highest quality vineyards in South Eastern Australia. Once the grapes are crushed and stem removed, they are fermented on skins in contact with oak. Temperature controlled fermentation ensures maximum varietal flavor, color, and tannin extraction. Yellow Tail Merlot 2017 is a warm, youthful, and smooth red wine with wonderfully fresh flavors of sweet plums, complemented by chocolate and spice aromas and a hint of aniseed from the careful integration of oak.
